It was an exciting week in our house with two adoption fundraisers this week. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude, so I wanted to share before all of the many blessings and details of this week get lost in the jumble that is my mind these days…
Fightin’ Phils Baseball Game
Thursday, June 14, eight friends purchased game tickets and joined us for a fun and memorable night in the all-you-can-eat front-row club seats to watch the Fightin’ Phils minor league baseball game. The night was full of…well, I’ll just say it…full-on gluttony, lots of laughs and some awesome fireworks to finish the night! Since all of the food was free, it was hard not to try many things on the menu. We had such a great time getting to know these friends better, and it will be a night we will share with our daughter as we show her these pictures as just one of the many events that helped bring her home. Special thanks to the Fightin’ Phils for the free tickets, our friend Lynn for watching Nate while we were gone, and to our friends, the Turner, Hoffman and Longaboard families, for their support of our adoption journey! We raised $190 for the adoption that night!
Yard Sale
Today, Saturday, June 16, we had a great yard sale event. We prayed for sunny weather, and the Lord provided with a bright, cloudless sky all morning! The constant flow of customers was a tremendous blessing as well. We got rid of a ton of clutter and raised over $200 for our adoption!! Thank you to those that made a special effort to come out and support us today! These pictures were taken after the first couple of hours of the sale. The driveway was already half empty from many sales already finalized.
