Less than a month ago, I posted about waiting for our daughter’s passport and starting a puzzle fundraiser to bring in the money needed for our travel to India to bring her home. Fast forward just a few weeks, and it seriously blows my mind at what God has done!
We went from a state of waiting for the unknown, not having all of the funds to bring her home and not knowing if we would have weeks or months before bringing her home to…
Today, I sit here and we have our sweet girl’s passport, all of the funds needed to travel, plane tickets and hotels are booked and we leave next week to meet our daughter face-to-face and bring her home to her forever family!!!
God used so many of you to help us get to this place! THANK YOU!!
When the dust settles in our hearts, minds and lives a bit, I will be writing down just how BIG God was during this process–how He blew the “norms” out of the water and made this process His own work! No one else can take the credit, as all honor and glory is due to our great God!
Now to bring her home to her forever family…
It has been recommended in all of our adoption training to help our daughter transition by staying close to home and just spend time with our family for the first 6 weeks or until she is showing she is recognizing us as “Mom” and “Dad,” so our friends and most of our family will not get to see or hold her until this bonding/attachment process is settled in her heart. However, if you live locally to us, have been praying our little girl home and/or have given toward her homecoming, we’d like to invite you to meet us at the airport for a short homecoming celebration! Reach out to us for the details for this homecoming airport gathering, if you’re interested! We’d love to see your smiling faces when we get off the airplane in the States holding our little one in our arms! This will be a great chance for you to meet her before we hunker down for the next few months as she adjusts to her new forever family!
