A God of Hope!

Today marks one day shy of 13 weeks of waiting for CARA approval (an approval from India and final piece required before we can be matched with our daughter). I’m coming off a wondrous week with 64 other sweet pastors’ wives from 22 states and 4 countries at a conference in North Carolina–a week where our theme was from Romans 15:13 and our incredible, abounding hope we have in our Savior.

My heart is overflowing from all that I heard and learned this past week to the point that I haven’t even been able to process it all, yet God…God continues to encourage my heart with HOPE. For today, Monday, November 12, 2018, we received word that we have been approved by India to adopt! My heart is singing, my eyes are overflowing and I am just so grateful for a gracious and loving God who has filled me with all joy and peace!

We have been told being matched to a child can take anywhere from 0-6 months, so we continue to wait…and trust! We still have a long way to go for our fundraising efforts, but this past week’s vendor fair at the conference brought in $500 more for our adoption, getting us just a bit closer to our goal–a goal that seems huge to our human minds, but is not even the smallest worry to our great God!
